Russia’s state-run TV mistakes man for robot

State-of-the-art robot was presented on December 11 at ProeKTOriya forum in Yaroslavl, Kremlin-run media, in particular, Rossiya 24 channel, reported.

ProeKTOriya is held annually to the order of Vladimir Putin. On the opening day, robot Boris was shown. It was reported to know math, be able to walk, talk and dance to Skibidi.

However, the robot sparked a lively discussion among Internet users and TV viewers. The audience paid attention to the fact that there had not been a single sensor on the robot, there was information about it on the Internet, etc. Interestingly, the robot made a lot of unnecessary movements which are typical of a human being.

But later it found out that it was the man dressed in a robot suit who appeared at the event. Pictures of the suit have been posted on the web.

It should be noted that there were no official statements about Boris’ being a real robot during the performance at the forum; it was used mainly for comic scenes and as part of the show. Rossiya 24 journalists could not have been unaware of it, but still disguised a man as a robot in their news story.
