The head of the family, 33, explained to the police that he had taken his wife and three children to the forest in order to reduce the risk of contracting the novel coronavirus.

The parents and the kids had to sleep on branches of the trees out in the open. Just in case, the adults had a mobile phone on them.

Law enforcement officers who learned about the escape from the man’s relatives took the family back to the village of Krasnogvardeisky.

The health workers who examined the children said they were in ‘satisfactory’ condition. At the moment, the trio is being kept in the local department of children and family services. A protocol has been drawn upon the married couple for faulty parenting.
