Russia accused Belarus of milk products supply scam

On November 1, in the Smolensk region of Russia, FSB detained a truck with Belarusian dairy products and reported the use of “fraudulent schemes.”

This information appeared on the website of the Russian authorities.

Rosselkhoznadzor representative said that the inspectors found in the cargo compartment the dry dairy products in bags with damaged labels of the Kopyl branch of OJSC “Slutsk cheese-making plant”. At the same time, part of the product labels were from the Belarusian company “Zdravushka-Milk”. They also found there rolls of tape with the labels of the enterprise, Rosselkhoznadzor claimed and concluded that the powdered milk was produced at the Kapyl branch of OJSC “Slutsk cheese-making plant”, which is under the temporary ban on the supply of milk powder in the Russian Federation.

“Despite the apparently fraudulent actions of the sender, the consignment was accompanied by a veterinary certificate…These findings once again show no supervision system for the supply of animal products imported into the Russian Federation from the Minsk region of Belarus,” the report says.
