Russian astronaut of Belarusian descent: Belarus and Russia is one land


On his return from the International Space Station, Aleh Navitski gave a press conference at the Yuri Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center.

The astronaut spoke about his work in the orbit, as well as his attitude towards Belarus. “I really like to come there on vacation and rest,” Navitsky said.

“I love Belarus and do not separate it from Russia. For me it is one land, one people. Yes, I was born there, educated there, I have all the relatives and friends there,” said the astronaut.

 Aleh Navitsky was born in the town of Cherven (Minsk region). The first time he flew in space was 23 October 2012
