On Saturdey evening, hundreds of people gathered at the building of the Belarusian TV and Radio Company (BT) in Minsk. It is the seventh day in a row that Belarusians have taken to the streets to protest against vote rigging and police abuse.
They were chanting “Show the truth!”, “Freedom!”, “People are power”, etc.
Unexpectedly, a number of BT employees stated that they shared the demonstrators’ views and demanded from their chairman Ivan Eysmant to stop spreading lies on TV and provide Belarusians with reliable and unbiased information about OMON riot police’s recent torturing and beating peaceful protesters.
Alyaksandr Lukassenka’s associate Natallya Kachanava and his press secretary Natalia Eysmant arrived to settle the conflict.
Moreover, several riot policemen entered the building. They appearance scandalised the protesters who started chanting “We will not forget! We will not forgive! ”
