Pensioners march in Minsk


The March of Pensioners took place in support of changes in Belarus in the center of Minsk on October 5.

The participants of the March gathered at the Independence Square and marched along the avenue. The demonstrators brought with them posters saying “We are for peace. Long live Belarus. No to sadism ”, “The sun will shine in our window one day”, “Go away”, “We ​​couldn’t do it before, we will help now”, “I don’t believe Lukashenka, BT and RT. I trust my children and Svetlana Alexievich”.

The protesters came to the MSLU building to support the students. They chanted “Grandmothers against riot police”, “Our children are the best” and “Long live Belarus”.

Then the demonstrators marched to Yakub Kolas Square. Elderly people laid flowers there, many of them took the metro to go home. At about 5:30 pm, the march ended.

No pensioners were detained during the rally.
