Friends of detainees in the “White Legion” case and sympathizers gathered on the Kastrychnitskaya Square.
The solidarity rally held on the Kastrychnitskaya square in Minsk was held under the slogan “Freedom to political prisoners”. Civil society activists demanded that authorities released patriots accused of creating an illegal armed group.
According to a participant, director Volha Nikalaichyk, people were showing “solidarity at a distance.”
About a dozen people brought to the square a streamer saying “Freedom to political prisoners!” and portraits of those arrested. The policeman who came to the protesters with a megaphone, called the rally an unsanctioned event and threatened to bring to justice those present. there is no information about detentions.

There are currently 14 people still in detention over the “Patriots case”, also known as the “White Legion” case. They are accused of forming an armed group, but the materials of the case, shown by the state television, caused distrust in society.
