Pedophilia case: two women and man each receive 20 years in prison for molesting own children
On October 16, Ushachy district court of Vitsebsk voblast announced the sentence for a resident of Minsk and two sisters from Navapolatsk –defendants in a high-profile pedophilia case. All three of them received 20 years in prison.
The news was announced by Interior Ministry spokesperson Volha Chamadanava in the MIA telegram-channel.
“The crime was revealed by the employees of the Main Department for Drug Control and Combating Trafficking in Human Beings of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus. The operatives got hold of photos and videos with scenes of sexual abuse of two young girls. In order to establish the identity of the man who “directed” everything, filmed everything, as well as participated directly in what was happening, colossal work was done”.
“It turned out that this man had been committing crimes against the sexual integrity of children for a long time, hiding carefully, producing and selling pornographic materials depicting minors, as well as trafficking in children,” said Deputy Head of the Main Department for Drug Control and Combating Trafficking in Human Beings of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Dzmitry Tsayun.
In 2015, the defendant met with two sisters from Navapolatsk. Each of them was rearing a daughter. The girls were 2 and 4 years old. Soon he started living with one of the mothers. Later on, he systematically raped her daughter and niece, recorded it on video and sold videos in closed networks. The mothers were aware of what was going on and received money for it. In addition, the sisters themselves committed sexual crimes against the children, filmed everything and distributed the videos via the Internet.
The court found the man and both women guilty and sentenced each of the defendants to 20 years’ imprisonment.
