A representative of the Moscow Patriarchate harshly criticized Stalinism and Stalinist repressions in Channel 1 program ‘Pozner’.
“I think that one should go to the Butovo range on the outskirts of Moscow in order to sober up. There is a museum, photos of people, they [guides – Belsat] tell what happened [in the Stalin era]: every day 200 – 300 – 400 people were grabbed and shot down. They took even 15-16-year-old children. Why were they executed? ” Hilarion says.
As Belsat reported earlier, groups of Stalin’s adherers are set to erect monuments to ‘the peoples’ leader’ in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Orel, Makhachkala, Nizhniy Novgorod, Sochi, Dagestanskiye Ogni, the town which can already boast of Stalin Avenue.
Meanwhile, museum of the Gulag victims ‘Perm-36′ has been recently closed down. Legal proceeding have been taken against the institution.
