The Health Ministry has published new data on the situation with COVID-19 in Belarus.
As of June 2, the total of 44,255 coronavirus cases have been confirmed by Belarusian health professionals. In the past 24 hours, the number of new infections has increased by 852.
“For the entire period of the spread of the infection in the country, 243 patients who were previously tested positive for the coronavirus have died; they had chronic and co-existing illnesses,” the statement reads.
On May 19, the Belarusian authorities reported 240 coronavirus deaths in the republic; thus, another three persons have passed away within the last day.
To date, 19,195 patients who were diagnosed with COVID-19 have already recovered. By the moment, over 562,000 tests for detecting the virus have been conducted in Belarus.
