No plans to restrict entry of Chinese citizens to Belarus


Ministry of Health of Belarus does not plan to impose restrictions on the entry of Chinese citizens, as it was done in Russia, Interfax reports.

On February 20, Russia temporarily suspended the entry of residents from China into Russia. In turn, our country has no intention to restrict the entry of Chinese citizens over the coronavirus.

“Given the latest recommendations of the WHO, border closures in Belarus are not yet considered,” said the Ministry of Health of Belarus.

On February 19, citizens of Belarus, evacuated from the Chinese Wuhan to Tyumen, will return from Russia. They spent two weeks in a special quarantine.

Ministry of Health reports that no coronavirus has been identified in Belarus. Meanwhile, 75,199 cases of coronavirus have been registered in the world. The infection has claimed the lives of 2,010 people.
