No mercy for corruption -- Lukashenka

The head of Belarus said this at the meeting, where he made personnel decisions.

“You know what to do and how to do it. Integrity, honesty, sincerity, and the inadmissibility of various kinds of illegal actions. God forbid there will be corruption or something. You see what is happening in the country right now. There will be no mercy for anyone in this regard. This applies to the entire management team,” he said.

A wave of corruption cases has swept Belarus, involving many officials and even Lukashenka’s “right hand.” In June, the head of Belarus spoke about new high-profile corruption cases.

Lukashenka has been fighting corruption for more than 24 years. For a quarter of a century of continuing struggle, it has not only remained, but blossomed. Corruptors, as it turns out, are not alone — there are clans of them. Some of them go to prison, quickly go out and even get new positions.
