The authors of the document also proposed to name the National Library in honor of Skaryna.
But the main reason for the reluctance to rename the National Airport is a lack of funds.
This year, Belarus Culture Minister Barys Svetlou supported the idea that the National Airport be named after Francysk Skaryna, and the aircraft receive the names of prominent artists.
