Legendary Narodny Albom to celebrate 20th birthday with help of Belsat (+teaser)
On September 4th, guests of the Bialystok Opera house festival will see their favorite characters of the “Narodny Albom” musical created in the 90s by Lyavon Volski and Mikhail Anempadystau.
The 20th anniversary show of the “Albom” is being organized by the ‘Belsat’ TV channel.
Musicians and singers of the original cast – Zmitser Vaytsyushkevich, Kasia Kamotskaya, Alyaksandr Pamidorau, Syarhei Akhramovich are also involved in the project. Guitarist Syarhei Kananovich (ex-Krambambulya), Apple Tea jazz band, Aquarelle quartet and others are also expected to take part in the event.
“I am very glad because the project has been enriched with a number of things which we could not afford earlier. i.e. oboe, trumpet, string and keyboards instruments and excellent back-up singers. Due to it, now there is an interesting contrast between the songs performed by one or two people and those performed by the whole ensemble,” Lyavon Volski says.
The well-known Polish television director Konrad Smuga is responsible for the visual part of the project. Mikhail Anempadystau and artist Alena Ihrusha are working on elements of artistic decoration, set design and costumes.
The premiere of the TV version of the project will take place on Belsat and its official YouTube channel in late September.
The show “Narodny Albom. 20 years later” will premiere within the Wschód Kultury. Inny Wymiar festival coordinated by Bialystok Cultural Center and National Cultural Center with support of kulturadostepna.pl.
Belsat TV is the executive producer and author of the idea. The festival is co-produced by Polish National Audio and Video Institute NInA.
