Nadiya Savchenko arrives at ATO zone (photos)

The Ukrainian MP has met with her former colleagues and got behind the pilot wheel overnight into Monday, the press centre of the ATO headquarters reports.

They fail to specify which district Savchenko has come to.

On May 25, the presidential aircraft took Savchenko who had been in custody in Russia since July 2014 to Kyiv; she was swapped for two Russian GRU officers.

The Belarusian authorities expressed hope that the release of Savchenko would have a positive impact on the entire negotiation process on the situation in the east of Ukraine.
