According to Belarus Education Minister Ihar Karpenka, more people will study the Chinese language in Belarus starting from September 1. The minister did not voice any specific figures.
“Starting from next school year, the study of the Chinese language in Belarus will be expanded, and the process will continue. This is due to the implementation of large-scale socio-economic and investment projects, in particular the Chinese-Belarusian Industrial Park “Great Stone”,” Minister Karpenka said at the meeting with the president of Hefei University of Technology (China) Lian Lian, BelTA reports.
The Minister noted that Belarus has already offices of such companies as Huawei, ZTE, building corporations. “All this shows the importance for Belarusians to learn Chinese in order to implement the agreements reached at the highest level,” said the Minister.
