This year, the number of Belarusians who go to work in other countries has grown by nearly 25%, Alyaksei Byahun, Head of the Department of Citizenship and Migration of the Interior Ministry, said.
“Migration activity of Belarusians, especially in the field of labour migration, is increasing from year to year. Taking into account official statistical data, at the end of the year we will report the 25% increase in the number of Belarusians going abroad [to work] in comparison to the previous year,” the top official said.
According to him, many people go to the EU countries, especially Poland. In addition, the Belarusians find jobs in Russia and some other countries.
