Tadeusz Kosciuszko monument opened in Belarus (photo)


The first in Belarus statue of Tadeusz Kosciuszko has appeared in the Brest region.

The solemn event was held in the memorial museum-estate named after Kosciuszko near Kosava.

The monument was cast in Ukraine and was based on the designof the Belarusian sculptor Henik Loika. The money for the Kosciuszko monument was collected through the crowdfunding project announced by the host of “Mova Nanova” and “Everyone” Hleb Labadzenka. The initiative was supported by 690 persons, which collected more than 22 thousand BYN. The names of donors will be kept in the museum.
