MMA fighter Kudzin detained in Moscow


He will be extradited to Belarus.

World kickboxing and Thai boxing champion Alyaksei Kudzin took part in the August protests in Maladzechna, where he lives. After his arrest, Alyaksei spent several weeks in custody in Zhodzina jail, and on August 21 he was placed under house arrest, reports nn.by.

On September 19, the trial was to begin in Maladzechna. Kudzin was charged under Part 2 of Article 363 of the Criminal Code – “Resistance to an officer of internal affairs or other person guarding public order”. The maximum penalty is up to five years of imprisonment.

Alyaksei did not appear at the hearing, it was reported that he had left Belarus. In an interview Alyaksei told about the events in Maladzechna and his escape.
