A post about the death of Sarokin during a combat alert duty on September 2 appeared in the “Typical Barysau” group.
“Soldier Hennadz Sarokin died on 9 September 2017, in the military unit #48684 in Byaroza, while on combat duty in the visual observation post. He is my brother. He died between 13:00 – 15:00. That’s how long they are on duty on the tower, before they change each other. We were told about what happened only at 16:50, I do not know why so late,” the report says.
Not so long ago Alyaksandr Korzhych, a 21-year-old soldier, was found hanged in the basement in the territory of a military unit in Pechy, his legs were tied up. According to the family and friends, senior conscripts bullied, battered and tortured the young man to squeeze money out of him. As a result, they allegedly killed him and then faked his suicide.
The press service of the Defense Ministry has confirmed the death of the soldier.
