Police find whipping boy: 17-year-old Yahor Skrabneuski detained

This happens to be the only short arrest within the election evening.

A minor administrative report was drawn up upon the young man for the alleged involvement in organizing the post-election protest, holding white-red-white flag and saying something ‘worse’ than ‘Long Live Belarus’.

The youngster was taken to a police minibus but a bit later he was immediately released. He was not even allowed to sign the papers.

It is still unknown if the case will assume serious dimensions. At the very least, Skrabneuski may be fined.
