President beyond law? Belarus police throw weight behind Lukashenka over unbuckled seat belt

President Alyaksandr Lukashenka never broke the law, the Belarusian police state.

During the opening of the Minsk ring road on October 6, Lukashenka failed to wear a seat belt while driving a car.

After the incident a complaint was filed to the police. But law enforcement officers’ response was plain and clear: the police found no evidence of a violation of traffic rules by the head of state.[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”24465″ img_size=”large”][/vc_column][/vc_row]

“Due to the lack of an act of administrative offense (art.9.6 Part 1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses), there is no ground to initiate an administrative proceeding,” the Interior Ministry says.
