Mazyr Oil Refinery to receive pure oil from Russia on May 4

According to Belneftekhim, as of 9 am on April 30, high-quality Russian oil was located 30 km away from the control station Unecha in the Bryansk region.

The flow of clean oil through the Druzhba pipeline began on April 29. Now, pure oil should displace poor quality oil which was previously supplied from Russia.

The press service of Belneftekhim reports that, taking into account the speed of oil, the arrival of clean raw materials to the Belarusian territory is expected no earlier than 11 pm on May 2. It will not get to the Mazyr refinery before May 4. Earlier, the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation stated that the oil refinery in Mazyr is expected to receive clean oil on May 2-3.

“The measures taken will allow only one line of the Druzhba pipeline to resume operation. Full restoration will require several months of hard work, ” the concern noted.

Belneftekhim adds that the settlement of the situation around the supply of low-quality oil from the Russian Federation continues.

The crisis surrounding the supply of substandard oil began on April 19. On this day, the state concern Belneftekhim reported a sharp deterioration in the quality of oil flowing through the pipeline from Russia.

On April 21, Belneftekhim decided to temporarily limit exports of petroleum products in view of the deterioration in the quality of Russian oil supplied to Belarus.

On April 22, the Mazyr Oil Refinery announced that poor quality Russian oil led to the failure of expensive equipment.

Due to the poor quality of oil, Poland and Ukraine refused to accept it and suspended transit through their territory.
