Man fined for publishing film about Lukashenka


A resident of Homel Ihar Mazeyka was fined 15 basic units (405 rubles) for publishing on his page in VK.com a film made by blogger Nexta, Homelskaya Viasna reports. The film is called ‘Lukashenka. Criminal case materials’ .

Ihar Mazeyka was tried under part 2 of article 17.11 of the Code of Administrative Violations (distribution of information products, included in the national list of extremist materials). The young man did not know that the film about Lukashenka was deem extremist by the authorities. The police informed him about it.

At the trial the man working at the Gomselmash plant as an electrician, did not deny the fact of placing the material on his page. The judge found him guilty and punished him with a fine of 405 rubles (15 basic units).
