The doors of polling stations will be open in Belarus from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Citizens can vote in the presidential elections. A total of 5,767 polling stations have opened in the country and 44 – abroad.
This year’s elections have four candidates on the ballot. Alyaksandr Lukashenka, Hanna Kanapatskaya, Syarhei Cherachan and Svyatlana Tsikhanouskaya are running for president.
Early voting was held from 4 to 8 August. The total turnout for 5 days is 41.7%, the Central Election Commission reports.
