Lukashenka told OSCE PA of his successes

At the opening of the 26th Annual Session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly in Minsk, Alyaksandr Lukashenka spoke about the “rule of law in Belarus”, BelTA reports.

“After Belarus became sovereign, we set a goal to build a state for the people, which would ensure the full and free development of personality, respect for human rights,” said Alyaksandr Lukashenka.

The head of state believes that the human rights and democracy in Belarus are as strong as in Europe.

“We are doing everything to have as much [democracy and human rights] as in other European countries,” he said.

Lukashenka noted that in the country “a lot done is done for the people”: “the problem of poverty has been solved, there is a high level of social security of citizens,” etc.
