Lukashenka to farm workers: Minimize expectations of state support, earn money


Alyaksandr Lukashenka urged agricultural workers to ‘do their best’ and ‘earn money’ during Friday’s working trip to Minsk region.

“Next year we will focus on the efficiency of agriculture and the improvement of farming techniques. It will be a bridging year for us. Do not bargaing for lots of money and big support any more. The year is good, earn money! We should massively invest funds money in land reclamation and technical work. We should do our best to put the country in order and to resoil farmland,” he said.

The Belarusian leader is an agriculturist and has a university degree. In 1985, he graduated from the Belarusian Agricultural Academy.
