Lukashenka tightens screws: Dashkevich accused of training persons for participation in mass riots

Zmitser Dashkevich has been accused of ‘instructing or training persons for participation in mass riots’ (Article 293-3 of the Criminal Code).

According to his wife Nasta Dashkevich, a defense lawyer met with Zmitser in the presence of an investigator.

Earlier, activist Nina Shydlouskaya told Radio Liberty with reference to the detainees’ families that the same charges had been brought against Ivan Kavalchuk, a student of the National Technical University, Yauhen Paltarzhytski, a former student of History Faculty of the Belarusian State University, Young Front member Syarhei Strybulski and sales manager Alyaksei Abramau.

About 30 persons – former members of White Legion, state-authorized sports and military club PatriotYoung Front activists as well as people who are not associated with any organizations, landed up in jail after Alyaksandr Lukashenka’s words about ‘armed militants’ posing a threat to Belarus.
