Lukashenka says Russia wants premiums for oil

Alyaksandr Lukashenka said that Russia wanted Belarus to pay the price of oil above free market one, BelTA informs.

He also said that in addition to world oil prices, Russia insists on a significant premium for the supply of ‘black gold’.

“And how do you supply [oil] to Hungary, Poland and the West? Without a bonus. How can an older brother treat the closest people like that?” said Lukashenka.

Apart from oil supplies, the head of state also spoke about gas prices.

“We are ready to cooperate. But it should be honest, transparent and sincere. We do not ask for anything extra to the what they get in the West. Today we were offered $127 for 1 thousand cubic meters of gas. Spot prices in Europe are up to $100 for gas. We also see what is happening in the world, and we can count. So do not say that you are feeding us. It is the trade turnover which shows who feeds who,” the head of state stressed.

Alyaksandr Lukashenka also said that he intends to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin on 7 February to discuss prices for Russian energy resources.
