PM Rumas now officially responsible for Belarus’ economic growth

Prime Minister Syarhei Rumas is now personally responsible for ensuring the economic growth of the country, mainly through external demand. Alyaksandr Lukashenka signed the relevant decree on May 20.

“The criterion of effective export activity will be the provision of commodity and geographical diversification of supplies, as well as increasing exports of goods and services at a rate that outpaces the growth of imports,” Lukashenka’s website notes.

Mr Rumas has been the Prime Minister of Belarus since August 18, 2018.
