Lukashenka in Moscow: We worked well on integration of Belarus and Russia

On June 30, Alyaksandr Lukashenka returned from the 4th Forum of Regions held in Moscow. Speaking at the plenary session, the President talked a lot about the integration of Belarus and Russia.

According to Lukashenka, economies of both countries receive significant benefits from the integration.

He said that in this regard Belarus and Russia “have achieved significant results, which other countries in the world failed to reach”.

“We can say we did a good job. Not for the sake of flattery, I want to thank the leaders of the two upper chambers of our parliaments. They are the “engines” of the integration movement. I really like their cooperation in this regard,” said Lukashenka.

There are currently 70 active agreements between the Belarusian government and the regional administrations. Each agreement has an action plan for the next three or four years.

In addition, during the visit of Lukashenka to Moscow, there were contracts signed between the two countries totaling $ 450 million. The documents signed also covered cooperation in the field of fine chemicals and space technologies.
