In a message, the head of Belarus described the relations of both countries in one sentence.
“Mutual interest and a systemic dialogue between our states based on the principles of respect and trust have given a significant impetus to the development of bilateral relations in recent years,” the message said.

In January-September 2018, Belarus-Romania trade amounted to almost $ 100 million. Belarus exported to Romania for $ 62 million and imported goods for $ 36.5 million.
Historians call the process of joining Transylvania and Bukovina to Romania, which began on December 1, 1918 during the collapse of Austria-Hungary, a grand unification. It ended in early 1919.
