Luhansk: Pro-Russian separatists release kids’ magazine about Daddy Putin, fascist Uncle Sam

The unrecognized Luhansk republic has started publishing the children’s magazine ‘Little Polite Men’. Its first issue tells readers about Big Hog, Greedy Rabbit and Ugly Turchin, whom evil Fashiston orders to sow dill that deprives people of joy.

The characters of the story does not seem to be fictive: the authors make no secret of the fact that the prototypes of Big Hog, Greedy Rabbit and Ugly Turchin are Ukrainian president Petro Poroshenko, Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk and the National Security Council Secretary Oleksandr Turchinov respectively, which the pictures are also indicative of. Uncle Sam is portrayed as Fasciston (Nazi).[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”114315″ img_size=”large”][vc_column_text]At the same time, a ‘good’ character depicted in the section ‘Daddy’s Advice’ bears a strong resemblance to Russian president Vladimir Putin.

The magazine is expected to be a monthly. Its first edition was 1,000 copies.

“We want our children to grow up to be people without fear and beyond reproach, polite and sincere defenders of their land and their loved ones, we want them to be honest and noble,” the magazine’s chief editor Sergei Kolesnikov said.
