Lithuania proposes to extend the sanctions list against Belarus, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Gabrielius Landsbergis told Radio Svaboda.

According to him, “it would be a very strong signal that not only leading politicians, making the most important decisions, but those who really hurt people in the streets, who beat them, violate their rights, enslave them and deprive them of their rights, fall under sanctions in Europe”.

According to the head of the Lithuanian Foreign Ministry, Lithuania is now working on the pools of evidence about such groups of people from Belarus.

Earlier, Svyatlana Tsikhanovskaya stated that the fourth package of the EU sanctions against the Belarusian authorities may be considered next week.
