The statement was made by Rokas Masiulis in an exclusive interview with Belsat after the launching ceremony of the single power grid uniting Sweden, Lithuania and Poland.
How will change the economic and political situation the electrical bridge between Poland, Lithuania and Sweden?
– In Lithuania, we have built several energy projects to get our independence … We are getting independence from Russia.
Will electricity become cheaper for businesses?
– For large enterprises it will be cheaper by up to 12%.
It means that Lithuania will consume electricity not from Russia, but only from the new European power grid?
– Now everything will depend on the market. Price will be formed on the Lithuanian stock exchange. But the political blackmail is no longer possible, because we have another option.
