Latvia to strengthen border with Belarus and Russia

The Baltic country requires 15 million euros to make the border more secure.

To implement the project, described by the Minister of the Interior Richard Kozlovskis, Latvia needs 15 million euros. It will help improve the response time of the Latvian border guards, the minister said. Latvia attaches particular attention to the security of its borders in light of the Ukrainian crisis, Deutsche Welle reports.

In addition, the project will allow Latvia to deal with trespassers, whose number is constantly growing.
