Large fire in Homiel: wallpaper shop burning

On April 12, a private wallpaper factory “Fox” was burning in the center of Homiel. It was not the first fire for the company, but the largest so far. Sixteen fire fighting and rescue vehicles, including 12 road tankers came to rescue.

The factory roof was burning with open flame, the nearby streets were filled with smoke. According to preliminary data, nobody was injured.

The employees of the company had a conflict with journalists. While dozens of rescue workers were putting out the huge flame, enterprise employees were abusing the journalists driving them from the gates, kp.by reports. To hinder photographers, the guards used wallpaper, and those who climbed on the gate were beaten with sticks on their hands and cameras.
