The Moscow police have set free Belarusians Anastasiya Vashukevich aka Nastya Rybka and Alyaksandr Kirylau (Alex Leslie) on pledge to appear if necessary.

“They have just been released from the detention centre under a duty of appearance,” defense lawyer Svetlana Sidorskaya told news agency TASS.

Shortly before, the newspaper Komsomolskaya Pravda in Belarus reported with reference to presidential press secretary Natallya Eysmant that Alyaksandr Lukashenka had ordered officials to make every effort to release Anastasiya Vashukevich.

“Of course, the president is aware of the situation, there have been many media reports on the subject. Moreover, the head of Belarus instructed to immediately start settling the issue of liberating the citizen of Belarus,” she said.

On Thursday evening, Vashukevich, Kirylau and their two friends were detained when passing the border control at Sheremetyevo Airport in Moscow. They were reportedly accused of drawing other people into prostitution.

The Belarusian girl, who gained notoriety after the scandal involving Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska, was deported from Thailand. Spending about 11 months in prison, Belarusian citizens Vashukevich and her friend and instructor Kirylau pleaded their guilty to sex work. A Pattaya court gave suspended sentences the the duo and six other citizens of Russia and Belarus.

In February 2018, Vashukevich and Kirylau were detained for illegal work, i.e. organising ‘sex training’ for Russian tourists, on the Thai island of Ko Lan, and put in prison in Pattaya. Later, Rybka promised to tell American journalists about Trump-Russia relations, if she was ‘sill alive’, and asked for the U.S. protection. FBI agents wanted to talk with her in prison, but the Thai authorities failed to give their consent.

As previously reported, Anastasiya Vashukevich, a native of the Belarusian town of Babruysk, unintentionally revealed juicy details of a sex life of Russian oligarchs and top officials by posting compromising photos on Instagram. She even wrote the book A Story Of Seducing A Billionaire, Or A Clone For An Oligarch.

The case attracted attention of the Anti-Corruption Foundation led by Alexei Navalny which set up its own investigation and published the results on February, 8.

Russian authorities blacklisted the recent investigation by the Foundation. The materials are to be removed from its website, Youtube and Instagram. The decision was made by Roskomnadzor which referred to the ruling of Ust-Labinsk district court. Earlier, Deripaska sued Vashukevich over her publication of his private photos.

Billionare Deripaska, director of aluminium producer Rusal, and Russian Deputy Prime Minister, Chief of Staff of the Government Sergei Prikhodko (previously an aide to Boris Yeltsin and Vladimir Putin) are involved in the corruption scandal. The video gives evidence of the duo’s taking a boat ride with the so-called good-time girls’ to the coast of Norway in August 2016.
