Head of Presidential Administration and deputy dismissed


It was reported by the press service of the Belarusian leader. Alyaksandr Kosinets was dismissed together with his first deputy Kanstantsin Martynetski.

According to the official version, the officials were transferred to another job. The decree was signed on 5 December.

He worked in the court of Minsk district. In 2001-2005 he was the Deputy Minister of Justice, a member of the Central Election Commission. In the period 2005-2009, Mitskevich served as director of the National Centre of Legislative Activities, Director of the National Centre of Legislation and Legal Research. He was appointed deputy head of the Presidential Administration in 2009.

Alyaksandr Kosinets was born in 1957 in the village of Roski Syalets (Vorsha district, Vitsebsk region) – Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor. Honorary Citizen of Vitsebsk (2016).

He is the former head of the Presidential Administration (1980 — 1994), he worked at the Vitsebsk State Medical Institute: clinical intern, assistant, assistant professor of hospital surgery. In 1995-1997 he headed the Republican Scientific and Practical Center “Science and Surgery.” In 1997-2005 — Rector of the Vitsebsk Medical University. From 2005 to December 2008 he served as Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus. From 24 November 2008 to 27 December 2014 — Chairman of the Vitsebsk Oblast Executive Committee. He served as Chief of Staff since 2014.
