Justice is always above the law – Belarus leader

Belarusian officials must act in the right way, president Alyaksandr Lukashenka said on Thursday after the top staff reshuffle.

“What really matters to everyone is honesty and decency, including in relations with staff, with others. Everything should be fair. One cannot provide for every eventuality in our laws. And if there is a lack of legal framework, one should act fairly,” he stressed.

As reported earlier, on April 5 Lukashenka appointed Iryna Akulovich CEO of the news agency BelTA, Vitaly Drozhzha Minister of Forestry, etc.

“Justice is always above the law. There are unjust laws, and the concept of justice (which is a philosophical concept) is absolute. Therefore, we must always be guided by that,” the presidential press service quotes Lukashenka.
