Police have opened a case under Article 22.9 of the Administrative Code of Part 2 (illegal production and distribution of media products) in relation to Hrodna journalist Ales Kirkevich.
The basis for the case initiation was the story shown on Belsat TV on December 7. Ales Kirkevich as a Hrodna-based historian and journalist helped to make a story about the potential of the old Hrodna basements.
“It was a completely historical reportage, no politics. Previously, I was tried in 2015, when we filmed the story of the Lithuanian exhibition. The cameraman and I were convicted of allegedly illegal production of media materials,” Ales Kirkevich told Belsat.
