It is dangerous for us: Mahiliou dweller resisting St. George ribbon

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_video link=”https://youtu.be/TAHUl2L2WQk”][vc_column_text]The activist has offered to withdraw all St. George’s ribbons from the market in Mahiliou.

The activist of the Belarusian Social Democratic Party “Hramada” Dzmitry Lyuntou has filed the relevant statement with the local “Lenta” company.

“I believe that the yellow-black ribbon is even more dangerous for us now, says Lyuntou. Due to current political games, it would be better for us to stick to ours”.
Mr Lyuntou proposes to compensate for the losses by redirecting the sales markets towards Russia and pro-Russian rebels-controlled territory of the so-called Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics.

Since the beginning of the military conflict in the east of Ukraine, the St. George ribbon has been the symbol of the occupation of Crimea, as well as pro-Russian separatists in the Donbas. Until recently, it was used in Belarus at the official level during the celebration of Victory Day, but later it was replaced with a ribbon in the national flag colors.
