Investigative Committee of Russia: Nemtsov killed by members of 'concrete group' with 'unidentified organizers'


The group of Boris Nemtsov murderers was formed in January 2015. It was reported by news agency Rosbalt, with reference to the materials of the investigation.

According to the investigation report, tracking of Nemtsov began in February. Initially, the monitoring was conducted by the three arrested: Anzor Gubashev, Zaur Dadayev, Bislan Shavanov and “unidentified persons”. To study the place of residence and routes, they used the car ZAZ Sens bought specially for the purpose.

Zaur Dadayev, whom investigators believe to be the hitman, said during interrogation that he was ready to kill Nemtsov for free for his support of the drawings of the Prophet Mohammed. But some Ruslik paid for the elimination of the politician 5 million Russian rubles (about $83.5 thousand). Later, Dadayev withdrew his testimony, stating that he had been under pressure.

Boris Nemtsov was shot on February 27 near the Kremlin. Politicians was hit by four bullets, he died on the spot. On March 13, at the bottom of the Moskva River were found two pistols. The person who ordered the killing was not found, but Novaya Gazeta believes that the organizer of the murder was a Chechen major who is close with Kadyrov family.
