Interpreter, former envoy protect Belarus Nobel laureate from wind in Stockholm (touching photo)


A Swedish photojournalist managed to capture one of the most touching moments of the Belarusian Nobel laureate’s staying in Stockholm.

Svetlana Alexievich was heading to the Stockholm City Hall to receive the world’s most prestigious literary award from the hands of the King of Sweden. Her interpreter and Stefan Ericsson, a former Swedish ambassador to Belarus, were trying to protect Svetlana from strong wind. Mr Eriksson is acting for the Belarusian writer’s press attache during the Nobel week.
