This year our country will get six Mi-8 MTV-5 military transport helicopters produced by Russian Helicopters, the factory in Kazan being a structural unit of it.

“Russian Helicopters is a leading player in the global helicopter industry, the sole Russian rotorcraft designer and manufacturer and one of the few companies worldwide with the capability to design, manufacture, service and test modern civilian and military helicopters. Russian Helicopters is part of State Corporation Rostec,” the company’s website says.

In May 2015, Russian Helicopters and the Belarusian Defense Ministry signed a contract for delivery of 12 helicopters. During yesterday’s visit, the Russian side promised Kabyakou to supply 6 helicopters to Belarus by the end of 2016.
