Home Games: Movie made with participation of Belsat at Odesa International Film Festival

The movie Home Games is on the list of European Documentary Program at Odesa International Film Festival (OIFF-2018).

The film tells the incredible story of 20-year-old Alina. She who is facing the rough and tumble of life finds herself in the youth national team of Ukraine and becomes a professional football player.

Alina’s alcoholic mother has two more children, but she does not care about them. She dies at the age of 39. The girl realizes that no one but her could look after the younger siblings.

Odesa International Film Festival will take place on July, 13-21 .

The film was directed by Alisa Kovalenko, the author of the documentary Alisa In A Land Of War. It premiered on Belsat TV on April, 7.

Home Games was made with contributions of Ukraine’s State Cinema Agency, IDFA Bertha Found, Syndicado, Polish Public Television, Belsat TV and The Guardian Documentary і Current Time TV.
