Happy Mother Language Day: Minsk police make note of campaigners for teaching in Belarusian

A Belsat.eu journalist has taken photos of collecting signatures for Belarusian as a language of instruction.

The campaign #Mova2018 initiated by former political prisoner Zmitser Dashkevich is taking place in 11 cities and towns. February, 21 is International Mother Language Day. Its aim is to promote awareness of linguistic and cultural and multilingualism.

It is notheworthy that the Minsk police have put down the passport data of campaigners and took a video of those who were signing the petition today.
