Germany arrests Bosnian involved in 2015 terrorist attacks in Paris


On June 20, the German police detained an alleged accomplice of terrorists who committed a series of attacks in France in the autumn of 2015.

The arrestee is a 39-year-old Bosnian man, Deutsche Welle reports.

Earlier, the Belgian authorities issued a European warrant for his arrest. The Bosnian is suspected of supporting a terrorist organization in several acts of violence, including the attack on the Bataclan theatre.

The German prosecutors are considering his deporting to Belgium. According to them, the operation was held on the outskirts of the town of Merseburg.

On 13 November 2015, 129 people were killed in the coordinated series of bombings and shootings in Paris, 89 of them attended the concert at the Bataclan. Over 350 persons were injured. Investigators soon linked the attacks to a militant cell in Belgium which was in contact with the so called Islamic State in Syria.
