GDP plummets over oil disagreements, Lukashenka claims

During his address to the deputies of the House of Representatives and members of the Council of the Republic, Alyakasndr Lukashenka said that the work on road maps within the framework of the integration of Belarus and Russia was almost completed, reports the press service of the head of state.

The head of state also acknowledged that the fundamental disagreements around oil and gas remain unresolved.

“Even the elementary issue of dirty oil has not been resolved. And we have had our GDP plummet mainly due to oil problems,” said the head of state.

On December 7, Alyaksandr Lukashenka and Vladimir Putin intend to meet in Sochi. It is assumed that the unresolved issues will be considered by the leaders of the countries.

“Today the pressure on President Putin is very fierce. Besides, it is coming from a close circle, the anti-Belarusian one,” said Lukashenka.

The public is not made aware of the integration plans, as well as the content of road maps. At the same time, Alyaksandr Lukashenka has repeatedly stated that he won’t sign documents that can cause damage to the country.
