‘Free military aid’ ahead of Victory Day: China grants two luxury cars to Belarus


Two exclusive cabriolet cars produced by Chinese Automobile FAW will appear in Minsk at the Victory Day military parade in Minsk.

The gifts from China have already arrived in Belarus, a newspaper of the Belarusian military reports. At the moment they are in the zone of customs control.

It is noteworthy that cars assembled especially for Belarus have become the most expensive ones in the history of the automotive industry in China. Their price reaches 1.6 million dollars.

Since 1995 the Belarusian Defense Ministry and the Chinese Defense Ministry have signed 15 agreements on providing gratuitous aid to Belarus, state-owned news agency BelTA reports. In the period the Belarusian army received free military aid in the form of automobiles and spare parts for automobiles, office machines and equipment, equipment for linguistic classrooms, medical equipment, spare parts and expendable supplies for the medical equipment.
